Anthropocentric Ocean Connectivity: A Pluralistic Legal-Regulatory Model

چکیده

This article proposes a model of anthropocentric ocean connectivity based on the concept human perspective as location. Within this location, anthropocentrism can be, but is not necessarily, an exclusive or dominant valuation human. In fact, conceptions both and are pluralistic. These other pluralisms borne out in article’s content structure, which takes form explorations relation to four specific ocean-related activities. First, Jan Solski applies understandings “flow” context strategic geopolitics. Second, Iva Parlov analyzes current doctrinal issues interactions at international level with respect legal regime for places refuge ships need assistance. Third, Maria Madalena das Neves examines transboundary energy trade market integration, particular attention geopolitical ecological connectivity. Finally, Julia Gaunce that making application transnational rules standards polar waters enhances certain connections disrupts others, detriment oceans people, broadening especially Arctic Indigenous people(s) could help address challenges faced by governance.

A Mathematical Model for Indian Ocean Circulation in Spherical Coordinate

In recent years, the Indian Ocean (IO) has been discovered to have a much larger impact on climate variability than previously thought. This paper reviews processes in which the IO is, or appears to be, actively involved. We begin the mathematical model with a pattern for summer monsoon winds. Three dimensional temperature and velocity fields are calculated analytically for the ocean forced by ...

A Pluralistic Approach to Attachment

This chapter presents an alternative view to classic attachment theory and research, arguing for systematic, ethnographically informed, approaches to the study of child development. It begins with the observation that the attachment relationships children develop are locally determined and insists that these features of attachment can only be captured through observing, talking with, and listen...

The timescales of global surface-ocean connectivity

Planktonic communities are shaped through a balance of local evolutionary adaptation and ecological succession driven in large part by migration. The timescales over which these processes operate are still largely unresolved. Here we use Lagrangian particle tracking and network theory to quantify the timescale over which surface currents connect different regions of the global ocean. We find th...

Legal Reasoning A Jurisprudential Model

In jurisprudence methodological shifts of practical significance have seldom or never happened overnight. The discussion concerning legal methods and legal reasoning has been a challenge primarily for legal philosophers and many legal movements basically mirror a theoretical development. Nor is it always an easy task to elucidate methodological aspects related to legal reasoning in works of jur...
